I do a Birthday Spread: starting with the month of my birthday, I pull 13 cards and each card is a month until my next birthday. This gives me an insight of the energy of the year so I be prepared, and it's of special relevance because each year of our lives we live in a different stage: it's not the same being 20 than being 25 than being 30! From 29 to 30 my life changed abruptly. And the tarot helped me being prepared and aware and in touch with those changes.
