Tarot Artist's Handbook

augursWell

Like many here on the Aeclectic Tarot Forum I've considered trying to create my own Tarot Deck. I've seen lots of tips and information on creating artwork here on the Forum so I decided to try and put together a reference or index of sorts. I'm going to try and stick to "practical" information as much as possible. I'll be updating it in this post whenever possible. Any suggestions for improvements, just pm me or add your reply below.

I think this may be fairly similar to the link that Cerulean posted, but worth adding all the same. It's Sarah Ovenall's very useful piece on Copyright for Collage Artists:

The Self-publishing group on yahoogroups is also useful in many ways - very little information about cards, but lots about general aspects of self-publishing, such as pricing, finding distribution, trade fairs and so on.

this is rather old, but there used to be a deck creators' website thing. the original plan was to have a webring or have links to different websites of ongoing deck projects.
This is a good idea but it looks like it was hard to maintain.

In keeping with the idea I started another thread at:
http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30329

called "Tarot Artist's Project Directory". Maybe people can post a listing about their project on that thread if the forum moderators don't have a problem with that?
