Tarot of the Ancient Celts: Submitting to USG!! :D

inanna_tarot

to be honest - its not my cup of tea...
But then again I have no talent, ability or the brain power to think of creating my own deck so kudos to anyone out there that creates something for their own pleasure and to get some pennies from it lol.

But good luck with it :)

I definitely know that this deck is not for everyone - it's specialized, & very peculiar in style. I'm just hoping that there ARE those who will like it!

perhaps something so specialised isnt going to be taken up by big publishers like USG because they want more money and mass market appeal, and tarot is a pretty limited appeal in the first place!
Maybe self publishing or a smaller publishing house would be better??

Schiffer said they can't decide for another year. I am going to self-publish for SURE if that is the only route available to me.

I DO have a waiting-list for this deck from way back, at least a FEW people were interested! ;)

I believe that Schiffer has two decks published, Sol Invictus and Major Tom's, with the Transparent tarot in the wings and are frankly waiting to see if this makes them any money. Not only that but the Tarot of the Sidhe is still on their wait list.

I agree that this deck is likely going to have very limited appeal and self-publishing a few copies might give you the satisfaction and get your work 'out there'. It would be an incentive to finish all the cards, and you would still be free to accept a contract.

Sounds good! :D

I was just reflecting that I might not even WANT to be under contract at this point. Anyway, I'll submit to USG but not hope for much! ;)
