ever heard of this wheel of fortune??

nisaba

the card, the wheel of fortune of the major arcana that i was told by the astrologer has the letters os on it of which means the wheel of destiny & chance.the astrologer also told me that she saw that this wheel of fortune had a lever(alright not drawn on the card, maybe in her psychic vision or something..)& this lever(indicating human action) showed it needed someone to do some action at the at a special time to get this wheel of fortune in motion(to get it to doing its thing/bringing luck in your life..).

This *may* be reader-speak for "It's time you stopped thinking about things and time you started to actually DO something in your life", pulling the lever being a metaphor for you taking action in your life.

I always thought that the wheel is something not up to us.. but to the destiny and coincidences. This card always brought me surprises and good things..things i hoped for. You mean that we should force the destiny with our actions isnt it? Like if we want a car,we need to get a job first or something like that. Or simply a positive thought or a word..?
I always thought about the stars and the constellations and their position there in the sky... i think that when the wheel pops up something special is happening in the universe working in our favor. The planets and the wheel of fortune i think are much in corellation. I feel that it has to do with this. It's like " Hey, i have a special message for you.. the universe and destiny are working for you and we got u something" :) I supose that when the wheel is reversed it means the stars are not aligned and there is some chaos up there that causes us some disturbings in our existence. What do you think?
well the astrologer who did the tarot reading for me said she 'saw' a lever beside the wheel indicating that human action was important to get the wheel working...i don't think it has anything to do with the stars..

I understand. I think u are right about the action. Thanks for the reply! You're great. I like learning new things about the cards.

Hmmm interesting, so then i wonder which card would be the one that is pulling the lever, to the left or to the right.

Or what about if you pulled one card, then would this be saying DONT leave things to chance "pull that lever" ?

I suppose it could mean that in our lives each action or inaction can pull the lever and in turn change its spin, or even make it stop.

the lever the astrologer told me could be pulled up & down & not left & right.only a special action i was told as required to get the wheel going but i was also told that one one's actions could control the pace of the wheel as it gets going.i however aren't sure about stopping the wheel..

Here are a LOT of Wheels

http://www.albideuter.de/html/schicksal.html

– scroll to the bottom for Marseille ones. I can’t see a single one with OS on. No idea what those two letters would mean anyway !

Like Sulis, I can’t understand what you mean anyway.
oh yeah,i see there's none but anywayz here's part of the copy of the reading i got from the astrologer, maybe now you'll understand my question better:
The Wheel of Fortune evokes a return to the basics. The number on this card is the number 10, which is 1 accompanied by a 0 and this indicates the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. The name os the card itself indicates a movement, a good evolution and this is also the Wheel of Destiny and Chance. This wheel controls cycles and changes and clearly suggests a favorable financial development. If we look closely at this card we can see that there is a lottery ball and so games, the stock market, casinos, roulettes and luck are all suggested by this card. The wheel can turn and this shows a certain speed, whatever the fortune is that the card promises it is set to occur very soon indeed . The wheels center is in the middle of the card and this card gets quickly to the heart of matters and shows us that you will have certain choices to make and different strategic options will be open to you and the 6 rays of light coming from this wheel offer the different directions you can take. You will be entirely free to make your choice as the wheel's movement seems to depend on it being started by a lever which indicates that human action is very important and you are going to have to make an important choice at just the right moment.

If that was a mail reading, it sounds like a typo to me.

This is a veeeery individual take on the wheel. Usually the Wheel indicates ups and downs you can't control. Accepting not being in control. About the action: I don't think your reader is aware of a specific action. She's saying more something like: you have to do something important and you should know what it is.

no,i think she's saying that the universe will direct you on the course of action you need to take as indicated by the six rays of light(which come to think of,may mean that you'll be offered 6 choices to choose from..)but you gotta admit it could be possible..

hello - interesting card the wheel of fortune (card 10). To me it always indicates change, after the hermit (card 9) has accomplished his inventory and is ready for spiritual growth.

The card following the wheel of fortune on the right (side of the lever) will suggest which forces in my present will be in action to turn the wheel.
To me they are not actions I should take.
I can decide which action to take by knowing which forces are bringing about the change or decide not to act at all.

i kinda do not agree with you on what you've said about the card on the right suggesting which forces will be in action to turn the wheel, since i think the universe avails other different potions as represented by the six rays of light & also in my case the card to the right happened to be the star card & since i'm experiencing some sort of servitude i don't see how the card is relevant since the psychic also told me that the star card represented a lover.

Well I was reading Tarot 101 by Kim Huggens the other day and it said that the Wheel of Fortune sometimes has ROTA written on it (ie. The Rider-Waite Smith deck), which refers to the rotary animals that you see on the corners: man, bull, eagle, and lion. However, I always thought it said Tora (if the wheel spins clockwise, the top position were the sphinx sits would be T.O.R.A) which is the same word as whats written on the book that the High Priestess is holding.

If the wheel spins the other way, it will spell TAROT, which kinda feels like the card is being self aware and "breaking the fourth wall" kinda and saying the cards you pull in Tarot is really just up to chance.

Thought?
