Tarot Power

SaskMick

My word. Useless - and you've not even begun? :) :joke:
I think you're jumping the gun a bit - Lol.
Practice - can make anyone a good reader in time.

And people will just pick what they pick.
That's in their arena (and their "path" if you like) - your job is to read well what you see from that.

Who shuffles and who picks - it's up to the reader.
So the sitter can shuffle and pick - or the reader can shuffle and pick. And all variations of that.
Generally - I like to get the sitter as involved as they can, if it's a face-to-face reading.
So after I've shuffled whilst asking about them, I offer them a shuffle, cut and pick - sometimes from a fan. Sometimes from the one pile, sometimes from several piles... depends.

And etc. etc. for different readers.

I would like them to pick everything as I always did, I know that works. But experiment is needed I would guess.... Is it possible to learn without having access to a load of volunteers ?

I know you can get good hypnotic subjects and others that are a complete waste of time, but at least that's apparent straight away without trying to take them into hypnosis.

Ahh I see.
A Tarot sitter/querent - is not quite the same as a good or bad hypnosis subject.
If they're willing (and not trying to trick you or "prove that you're a crap reader" and other such things) - they're generally a good sitter.
(I'm a bad hypnosis subject - lol).

You can practice remote readings here on AT if you haven't got much access to live guinea pigs. :) :)
That's what the 'Reading Exchange', and circles are for.
And you can post your interpretations for feedback, comments, etc. - in the 'Your Readings' and 'Using Tarot Cards' sections here - which will all help you to learn.

But - you can't teach a sitter to be a "good picker" - or "pick exactly like you do"
Define a good picker...?
I'm still not quite sure if I've understood what you mean by this.

Generally we choose to believe - that whatever they pick - is what is right and relevant for them at that time.

Many years ago I lived in county Sligo on the West coast of Ireland. One weekend I was having a slight problem with one of the locals, and I went to see my faithful tarot card reader for some advise. It was Sunday afternoon and pouring with rain as usual. Nothing of note happens in that part of the world at the best of times, but on a Sunday afternoon it is absolutely dead.

I sat down and shuffled the cards as I had in the past and he laid them out on the table. He told me that I was about to get a visit from people wearing uniforms, and that they would take something from me. He told me that an older person would be involved, a person with long fingers and dark hair, although he could now be grey, and it's happening now... I asked what do you mean it's happening now, next week, tomorrow or what ?... He said right now, as we speak ! He said don't worry you will be smiling soon enough.

I drove home straight away, it was only a 10 minute drive. I got home and told the Mrs what he had told me and went outside to hose the mud off the car, 5 minutes later I heard tires on the gravel drive way to my house and turned around to see a squad car approaching... to be continued.

There were three of them, two constables and a sergeant. The sergeant asked me if I had any firearms in the house, I told him no, but I had an antique muzzle loading shot gun above the fireplace, which they took as they had a search warrant. They said I would be charged with having an unlicensed firearm and drove off.

The next morning I went into town to see a solicitor, and told I him what had happened the previous day. He told me he was sure that I did not need a license for an antique muzzle loader and that he would represent me no win no fee. He said that he had an appointment with the chief of the Garda ( Irish police ) that afternoon and he would be having a word. The solicitor had black hair and very long fingers.

A week later the local squad car came back down the drive, this time with just one of the constables. He got out of the car holding my shotgun which he then handed to me. He was very friendly and said it was just a mistake and that I could have the shotgun without a license, and he would appreciate it if I did not make a formal complaint.... I asked him why not, and what's in it for me for not complaining ?... He told me that the sergeant had instructed him to ask me if I would not make a complaint.... I thought for a moment and told him to tell the sergeant that I would not be unreasonable about it if he were to approve an application for a license for a working rifle ( very hard to get in Ireland )......

About a month later I had both the license and a new 22 magnum rifle... I was smiling just as I was told I would be. :)

Every word of that story is true.

My last tarot prediction came to fruition 5 years ago, now it's time to learn how to read the cards for myself.

I've only read the first page, but I LOVE THIS POST!!! I can see why so many have posted here as well in response! :)

I've had a few tarot card readings given to me that were good like this too. I agree with whomever it was on pg. 01 of this thread that the reader was definitely psychic as well. If I lived in Ireland, (which I sometimes wish I did!) I'd ask for his name and go to him as well! :D

GREAT STORY!

I think you are right about him being psychic, I think we all are to some extent, some much more than others...
This is a very TRUE statement! I always tell people this. You know SaskMick, you CAN develop your psychic abilities to be stronger. It only takes practice--and there are some great books out there that will help you do just that if you wish!

PS, The funny thing was that it took weeks for him to talk me into having my cards read, I thought it was just hocus pocus :)

I can hardly wait for my cards to arrive lol
I have many friends who felt the same way about tarot card readings and such--but then a few of them gave in and asked for a reading from me and now call me often to get a reading. :D I do get a lot of practice with them all, for sure! One friend asked for a reading, so she could show me how wrong it was. But, after I read for her---she was shocked with what I picked up.
