Marseilles-style meanings

MercyMe

I just purchased a Vachetta deck (Tarot of the Master). It's not Marseilles, but the trumps are similar. The pips are scenic, almost. I have looked through the Marseilles discussions here and the descriptions of the pips which lend to their meanings will not apply to this deck, although the descriptions and observations on the trumps were extremely helpful. I guess I'm wondering if there are any resources online or in books that give general meanings for Marseilles-style pips?

Very much because of what you say of the Vachetta, I would not describe it as 'Marseille-style'.

Rather, the semi-scenic aspects to it gives it its own characteristics.

For myself, the Vachetta seems to be a half-way deck between the Marseille and the more standard-type modern decks made for the game of tarot - in which the symbolic element becomes increasingly lost in favour of the visually appealing.

I love this deck! and I read it the same way
as I do my regular cards, but with the extra
fun part being how it's back from the 1800s.

It's proof Tarot has always been serious fun!

If you don't mind using these descriptions...

Lo Scarabeo provides meanings for its Italian decks in the LWB download for the Visconti in English, French, German and I believe, Dutch?

Hope it helps:
