High Priestess & the 9 of pentacles...

Hi,

Has anyone noticed the similarities between these 2 cards? Last night I was studying the 9 of pentacles, and those two trees in the background popped up in my mind, and reminded me of the pillars of the HP. In fact, I had to take a double look, as I muttered to myself that I hadn't noticed before how prominent they are in this card. Then I started to see many other similarities and opposites, such as both female, one sitting, the other standing. Both wearing headpieces. Both holding something in their left hand (scroll vs. bird of prey). The flowered garden wall appears to be sort of a barrier, like the HP's veil, etc.

I believe, The High Priestess is the heart and soul of the Tarot,
just as the Moon is at the heart of ancient sacred astrology...
so it makes sense that she would reveal herself through any of
the cards since she is blessedly present in each and every one.

Tarot isn't about funny old magicians: it's about people and life.
