As we all know, Pixie was part of Dame Ellen Terry's entourage for a while; she gets just one mention in the recently published A Strange Eventful History: The Dramatic Lives of Ellen Terry, Henry Irving and Their Remarkable Families. Dame Ellen commended her industriousness to a friend, saying that she was constantly making and selling lampshades, candle-shades, painted boxes and cards, concluding (I assume affectionately) that she was "a funny little thing".
