RWS Blue Box - ebay Buy It Now

Chrystella

I've only just started buying tarot decks again after many years so I'm floored by what some decks cost these days. Plus, I live in Australia now where everything is two to three times as much as in the U.S.

A few years ago, you could find a RWS Blue Box for like $20. Is this where we're at in prices? Is this reasonable nowadays?

I sound old (but I'm only 37, I swear).

Buy It Now is usually more expensive, and it seems to be in very good condition, which isn't always the case. But even so, US $155 seems a bit excessive.

It looks like a seller who doesn't particularly want to part with it, but needs some cash and doesn't want to risk it in an auction setting. :)

Prices asked by sellers don’t necessarily reflect what buyers are willing to pay. Most online sellers know nothing about Tarot and imagine that everything that’s out of print must be extremely valuable. I follow tarot prices online regularly and these days rarely see even the less expensive decks find buyers. If you want this deck, keep looking. My experience has been that if you’re patient the deck you’re looking for will eventually show up at a reasonble price.

Thank you. I do want a Blue Box RWS, but I am willing to wait for a better price. I'm not against paying $150 (and more) for a deck, but not on this one.
