Yes, the deck uses mostly "traditional names", but with rather modern paintings.

I guess, the risk exists, that Alexander might have an error about the age, but it looks promising.

Generally, he was the oldest French card-maker known, I guess, so just by this famous enough. It mustn't have been the Tarot story, that brought him to be pictured at this deck.
