Swedish Witch/Jolanda - King of Swords

rylla

This King is dressed in eagle feathers; a dragon surrounds him. The dragon's tail is sharp (=the King can do harm). His hand is raised toward the sky and generate a thunder. On the other hand this posture could be an allusion to the Magician; he has the power and means to exercise his will.
The 2 children sitting in front of him could be an allusion to both the authority of this King as well as his power to protect.

OK. So far so good. But I've got stuck at the egg containing a beetle that is painted on the beast/belly of the dragon. I'm sure it has a significance. What could it be?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
