Oh my word - the postage!

ISO Postage Solutions

The cost to mail my deck overseas has jumped 30%.
It would seem to make sense to try to find a wholesale distributor in Europe.
That way, the posting would be done with all at once.
Alida seems the place to start, as I have purchased decks there.
The income from wholesale decks is much lower, but the market is potentially larger.
The other option would be to offer a price break to overseas customers in hopes of selling more decks.
Or if you have a good friend in Europe (the main hub for overseas sales) who could act as a distributor.
Or for your next deck, make postage included in the price and in a more or less socialistic manner those for whom postage is less expensive subsidize those for whom postage is more expensive.
Just ideas. Because I don't really know if there is a "best" solution.
The one thing that is certain is postage rates will not decrease.
I still have to sell enough decks to pay the printer.
So I'm here doing cost-benefit analysis...

I'm in the same spot Barefoot, thinking through the options.

The US Post Office clerk tells me that delivery confirmation is now automatic for priority mail packages--used to be 85 cents extra.

UPS and Fed Ex are not options. USPS has a monopoly and UPS and Fed Ex prices are triple USPS prices. USPS prices have been going up every year, $10.95, $13.99, $16.99 now $23.99. It is frustrating because their service is getting worse! They don't offer true tracking and they lose packages and don't take accountability. I ship packages internationally every day and many decks you can ship via First Class International. It saves a few dollars at least.

Well, once they completely dropped the surface rate (via ship) everying went to being charged by the ounce like letters. Nothing bulk anymore.

About the only way you can send it cheap is to send to a serviceman/woman overseas using the armed forces mail - it's all standard US postage pricing.

Make friends with a soldier, piggyback your order on their address if you can.

It is not standard mail prices except for flat rate envelopes. The rest cost more but a tarot deck or two can easily fit in a flat rate envelope:)
