Does this card suggest self defeating behaviour. I did a one card reading asking if a person is going to take some action or act on a situation. I'm taking as the answer is not, can anyone explain this card a little farther.

Yes, it would mean defeating behaviour.
This is swords, thought.
This could well be someone who is subconciously sabotaging themselves, or thinking themselves out of sucess.
Or someone whoes thoughts are in such turmoil they cannot see a solution, and therefore cannot find a solution.
Not really a good card to get, but honest, I suppose.

Yes, to defeatist thinking. I get this card a lot after I have used all my powers of negative thought to bring about some kind of horrible end to something.
