Paypal automatically calculates the US dollar amount for you. When you enter a payment amount (on the regular payment screen), there is a drop-down list from which you can choose various currencies. Enter the euro amount, select euros from the drop-down, and it will show you the dollar conversion before you enter any other transaction information. So you can use this feature to check Paypal's current exchange rates without making a transaction.
