World Image and Bible

I wonder just where the Visconti Sforza's World image shows itself as derivative from the Bible, particularly, the Book of Revelation? Is it the painter's direct visualization of the New Jerusalem? Is there anything Neoplatonic to it?

Yes, I always thought it was the New Jerusalem or the New World as in the new creation after the apocalypse. But I'm not sure whether that's historically accurate. The image certainly evokes this association.
