21 Ways To Read A Tarot Card -- Step EIGHT -- part one.

Hemera

step 8, part 1 ~Vampyres~

8-1-1: Five of Pentacles in the Tarot of Vampyres:
* she is a willing victim
* she wants to be seduced by the werewolf
* learning to be patient
* rapture
* opposites and splits: black and white, good and evil, death and life, blue and red (the roses in the card), the two tombstones
* union of opposites cannot be achieved by ´tour-de-force´
* transformation, shapeshifting
* Drama Queen

8-1-2: Generally for Fives and Pentacles
* courage, strength
* holy number of the Goddess
* mothering, nurturing
* physical manifestation
* Mother Nature
* security, prosperity, practical, concrete
* groundedness, trust
* the need to ”walk our talk”
* torment, suffering, ill health, worry, crisis, loss

8-1-3: I think most of them probably work for this Five of my chosen deck. The card can indicate ill health and suffering (the sharp claws of the werewolf above her stomach) and there is also a lot of trust since she is allowing the werewolf to be there. She doesn´t look like she is suffering much, though.hm..
She is not dead either because she in one of the undead. She is bleeding from her neck so the werewolf has been chewing her and it has probably been enjoyable to her. The werewolf is hovering over the woman and looking at us and maybe he is defending the woman and telling us to back off. This woman belongs to him and it looks like she is in agreement.

The ones that work for me in the Five of Pentacles, Tarot of Vampyres are:
* willing victim, Drama Queen
* wanting to be seduced (by the werewolf)
* learning to be patient
* rapture
* opposites and splits: black and white, good and evil, death and life, blue and red (the roses in the card), the two tombstones
* union of opposites cannot be achieved by ´tour-de-force´
* transformation, shapeshifting
* courage, strength
* holy number of the Goddess
* nurturing (well..she was chewed.. :D )
* physical manifestation
* Mother Nature (claws and all..)
* security, practical, concrete
* groundedness, trust
* ill health

ETA: Five of Pentacles is Five of Skulls in Vampyres Tarot. The animal of the whole Suit of Skulls is the Wolf and the color is purple. The Wolf is the union of opposites: spiritual and material in one. Pathfinder, intuitive thinker and practical and well grounded in its environment.

Step EIGHT part1, Shadowscapes tarot

Image of the Shadowscapes's five of pentacles can be found here

First of all, I'd really sucked at this step.
I wasn't able to find good sentences in english so I use the few ones that come into my mind in my lenguage and try to make a translation. :(
Some of them are bad translated and some others have lose part of their meaning along the way. Please, bear with me.
Anyway, here I go....

Part 1.

-Mejor solo que mal acompañado.
Better alone than in bad company.

-Si lloras porque no sale el sol las lágrimas no te dejarán ver las estrellas.
If you cry because you can’t see the sun the tears won’t let you see the stars.

-callejón sin salida.
Dead end

-pobreza de espíritu.
Spiritual poverty.

-en el ojo de la tormenta
The calm after the storm
(also a song by The Common Linnets ;) ).

-de mal en peor
From bad to worse.

-inseguridad paralizante.
Crippling insecurity.

-lamerse las heridas
Licking the wounds. (Ok, it doesn’t make sense in English).

Part 2.
Five: crisis, upset, adversity, adaptation, disturbance, storm and stress, regretful.
Pentacles: final result, money, security, health, results, grounding, skills, fruits of labor, tradition.

All together:

-Adaptarse a la economía actual.
Adapt to the current economy.

-No estar de acuerdo con el resultado final
Don’t agree with the final result.

-Enfermarse del estrés.
-Get sick from stress.

Part 3.
I’m gonna take:

- Don’t agree with the final result.
-Better alone than in bad company.
-If you cry because you can’t see the sun the tears won’t let you see the stars.
-Dead end
-Spiritual poverty.
-The calm after the storm

And that's all. Now that I have to start the second part I'm having shivers.

21 ways - Step 8

8.1
I have found a treasure trove of metaphores for this difficult card (being the Thoth Minors mostly pips) in Crowley Book of Thoth, which is one of my "bibles", and the obvious "first place to look in" for the Thoth deck.

I understand the card called Worry represents

The arrive of stress and storm on the phisical plane *
The telluric tension of the tettonic plaques when they hit one against the other and mountains are born *
Instability at the foundation of matter
Motion upsets matter
Motion and matter upset a statically stable system. *

These images depend from the way the deck is built: reversed engineering the cards, as Zephiro often proves, is a great way to understand the cards and internalize their meanings, make them something truly personal and very often used.

The metaphores/phrases above describe the action of Geburah (the 5th sephirah on the Tree of Life) on the material plane (2nd He' of the Tetragrammaton, Disks).

8.2

As for its Decan, the Five of Disks is Mercury in Taurus. That makes it easy to understand how the card title is Worry..

Metaphores related to this are:
Opposed energies ¿
Intelligence applied to labour *

More metaphores I have found related to fives and disks:

Inertia and insensitiveness as charateristics of peace ¿
Disturbance is sacred as all other phenomena *
Stranglement, as a dog would with a sheep ¿
End of social balance *
Breaking down of an economic system *
THE BREXIT!!! ***
The 5 Tattvas striving to hold together an organism that would otherwise disrupt completely
Earthquake - the slow movement of magma after the eruption and its melting all matter together for new life *
Disruption of elements/matter *

8.3
I have put a * for the statements that I resonate with
I have put a ¿ for the statement i strongly disagree with
Unmarked statements are neutral

Great step, I deeply enjoyed, and found it very useful.
I tend to go by the books and need to develop more of my intuitive skills. The metaphores allow to get creative using the traditional meanings as "building blocks".
