Rachel Pollack's illustrated guide

divinerguy

I concur completely. Like everything else she does, this book is well done.

La La

Rachel Pollack rules

Is this the same as her books "Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom"?
This was my introduction to tarot and I really appreciate her approach.
Anyone know how many publications she has in print (on tarot of course)

Phoenix

La La, it is not the same book, but I am sure that it is just as good as 78DW.

Strega

Oooh great find! :D

I have this book on my wishlist. :)

Amazon has quite a few of Rachel Pollack's books but of course not all of them are about Tarot. Well worth a trawl though.

Good luck!!! I got mine used from amazon at a good price and it came fast and in like new condition. Neat book! Like the color pictures! seems very complete and comprehensive on first scan.

Thanks for your recommendations!

I've found a copy 20 percent off during a weekend sale and plan to go back to get the illustrated guide. One of the notes suggesting to look at the illustrations to do comparative/multiple deck readings was very good---this seems to be unique to the book.

I've seen the two-card majors comparison in a pocket-book and noticed how it makes for interesting reading in Rachel Pollack's book as she 'walks' the reader through the majors. It's much richer than I originally thought.

I'll pick it up tomorrow and have fun this weekend.

Having checked Amazon for more of her books I ended up buying 78DW! I've seen good reports of it here and as I like the Illustrated Guide I decided to get it.
