Oracle identification, please

Not sure if it's from a Tarot or on oracle deck, but I've seen somewhere recently a card bearing a coloured drawing of a man and a crocodile, with a kind of 18th or 19th century look to it, and a keywod - stupidity or futility or something similar. Can anyone suggest the deck it might be from?

I wonder if it's a sibilla deck? I only have a couple, but I'll flick through them.

ETA: sorry, no luck in my decks of that sort.

Maybe folly?

Crocodiles feature on many Fool cards. The William Blake Fool kind of fits your description, but it's Innocence.

Cardlady & Thorhammer/Kat,
Thanks for your ideas, but no – it’s not Blake.

What are the man and crocadile doing? You might check out the Cosmic Tribe Tarot Fool card ... probably not it, but it is the only man and crocadile card I can remember off the top of my head.

Myrrha

There are several Egyptian style tarot decks that have crocodiles in the Fool card

The Fool card from the Egypcios Kier

Here is the Fool card, called The Crocodile, from the Ibis Tarot

Some cards from "The Egyptian Tarot" (probably not the one since you said the pictures were in color)

The Laura Tuan Egyptian tarot might also have a crocodile in the Fool card but I'm not sure.

Sorry if putting links to tarot decks is out of place in the oracles forum but it sounded like you werent sure which it was.

Myrrha,
Thank you for all the suggestions, but, no - it's not any of those, sorry.

Some version of Papus seems the most likely explanation, from what I've been seeing, but it remains a mystery.

I've scoured Albideuter and Tarot Garden (and found lots more decks to crave in the process) all to no avail.
