Elemental dignities table with images.

I made a table that illustrates the Elemental correspondences of the Waite-Smith court cards. Some of them seem to clearly be designed to represent these correspondences while others aren't as obvious.

For example, the Queen of Wands is Water of Fire. The sunflower corresponds to Fire and the black cat--a lunar symbol--corresponds to Water.

The King of Cups (Fire of Water) is holding a scepter in one hand and there's a ship in the background. Both of these could be interpreted as symbols of the will, or Fire. Along with these there are obvious Water symbols.

And the Knight of Cups (Air of Water) has at least three Water symbols along with wings on his helmet symbolizing Air.

A lot of the cards seem to icorporate both elements in a more organic way.

Here it is, enjoy! (260 KB) :)
