The 52 deck Jaques Vievil deck - anyone?

Bernice

This is a regular 52 deck with the Vievil court cards.
Does anyone have it? (SEE EDIT BELOW)

ETA: 14 June 2011.

The above link no longer works, and I can't find a new one. However, this page does list deck-names which includes this "1426 France. Grimaud Jaqves Vievil". The 1426 is a link, but won't load for me;

I've left the old link intact in case there's a current glitch and it might become acessible again at some time.

It s seems somewhat odd as if you go to buy cigarrettes at 3 at the morning in winter without an a scarf ...

Eugim / Friendly of course .

Yes, it's very odd. Jaques Vievil Courts and ordinary (cartomancy) pip cards, but no trumps...

I found this deck for sale here in the UK! Pity there's no trumps. No engravers information at trifioni or the shop that sells them.

I've seen this deck before and always thought it was a bit strange. If you go to the Trionfi site and click the link that says "Advertising Jokers," several pictures of the Jokers appear with different advertising logos on them. This might be a deck that is printed and sold mainly as an advertising gimmick.

Vieville = Noblet ???

This thread is very important because it shows a direct link between 2 Parisian French card makers: Jean Noblet and Jacques Vieville.

Just look for Honneurs of this Vieiville 52 cards decks and look on Jean Noblet Honneurs: They are same !!!

I think that specialists must give us a clear explination: Noblet = Vieville ??!!

It is like if Nicolas Conver was François Chosson in some way (even if specialists do knows that they are slightly different of course): Here details are identical after I quickly saw King and Queen of Sticks.

Any comments ??

Yves Le Marseillais

Hello my bon Ami...
1-You re right / So,you re talking to me ?- Because is anyone here...
So,You re talking to me ?
2-Noblet / Vieville...
Both Parisiennes,both decks barely done at the same place and time.
3-Except LA MORT
Noblet named it /Vieville not
Both show she going to the left contrary to the rest of the decks we know.
4-BTW,That s drives me to my thesis that Vieville isn t reversed aside Monsieur Flornoy said (My respect btw...)
5-Both have a "crude" art line engrave instead of Jean Dodal the more close to them in time sense.
6-With regard to LE BATELEVR surely I want to be more on the Vieville side instead of Noblet...
I don t want a dog trying to "catch" my balls...

Please my apologyze to the Lady Hooked here ...

Au revoir...

PS / Friendly said,Stop please with the " SPECIALISTS" they only think with theirs minds...
As you Yves I also "feel" a card with my Soul and Heart and after all I only believe in what my eyes show to me...(A wonderfull lady walking alone on a hot summer evening meanwhile I m enyoing a fresh Sauvignon Blanc on a terrace of a brasserie in Marseille... /His hair is as waves that seems to caress my eyes... )

This is a possibility. But all the Courts cannot be seen. Wondering if I should buy it (in a perpetual state of saving up!) because I'm unlikely to get the complete Jean Dodal deck.

Which reminds me - I can't find any online images of the Dodal pip cards. Please does anyone have a link? (Re. your questions Eugim... :))
