Hello my favourite Canadian girl...
Of course you re right.Vieville is an awesome deck.
By far as I know is the only which has LE MAT,XIII and XV all are going to the left,so "OUT" and contrary to the normal sequence rest cards...
Isn it odd ????

But..... the Vieville PLAYING CARD deck has no trumps!

Anyone bought it, or using it?

Hi Bee,

I was just coming over here to post. I've seen this deck in the UK and I'm wondering what its like. Yves is right, the Courts of the Noblet are in this 'Vievil' deck, could it be that whoever reproduced it didn't know their Vievilles from their Noblets?

Bernice

Publisher was Grimaud, but I'm clueless as to how they decided on the pics for the courts.

I just won this deck on eBay, and am waiting for it to arrive. I will be coming back to post my two cents' worth when it arrives.

Many thanks for posting the pics Jackdaw.
Now that I see them, I think it would have been nicer if the pip cards were Cups, Swords etc. (arranged like the usual playing card pips) instead of Hearts, Diamonds etc. But that's just a personal opinion :)
