a gestalt look at the fey-

been reading a pretty interesting book-
and been wanting to play with the Fey more so here I am.
I'm going to set up a small study of 5 cards-
there will be a series of exercises as well- each will be explained as the study progresses.
the cards to be studied are
Ace of Wands
5 of Cups
10 of Pentacles
Knave of Swords
XVI the Tower

part one of the exerise is to write 3 or more very different descriptions of the actions displayed in the card.
{It may not be easy- but if you keep it simple....

I will start a seperate thread for each card {making a quick link in the list above as they are added}

this first excersise will start on Sunday and go for a week- that is when I will introduce the next excercise.

time to wake the Fey!

cuz I got a new book on gestalt-
and I have been missing doing things with my Fey deck
{new decks}
I love my Fey- I connect very well with the Fey- if there is something 'new' I find {intuitive reading is not new to me but the books approach is} about tarot, I want to investigate it with one deck at first..in looking at gestalt...the deck I picked this time just happened to be the Fey.

thanks so much for presenting images of the cards for all to see!

I like this idea. I've started getting to know my Fey deck; these excercises sound like they will help. You will explain more about the gestalt approach in the first exercise, I assume?

Gestalt is knowing the intuitive side of tarot.
It revolves around asking questions about the image upon the card. What is happening? what feeling does the image give?- etc.
but we will get to the questions later.

#1 exercise-

write 3 (semi)-short very different descriptions for these cards.

example- FOOL-

1. the fool can't figure out how the orange head glows.
2. He has no idea that he is the keeper of the keys.
3. While out trick-or-treating he finds a talking jack-o-lantern.

Okay, that's pretty clear. I was half-remembering gestalt theory from psychology classes years ago, and that was confusing me.

Luna,

I just ordered that book yesterday. Your name spread thread sparked an interest.

This sounds like a great excercise!
