That just about made me sick. Why do an image like this? What Is the need for it? What a shame! That's me put off now :( it's as if it's thrown in for shock factor or something.

I was startled, but I just read Ric's post about the myth it is based on - and yeah, I can get it now.

I don't remember if I ever read Ric's post about the image. There are equally shocking images in the Priapo Tarot, but I'm able to read with that deck. I came up with possible interpretations for the Estensi card. The image doesn't put me off the deck though.

So where are the Wands, already? This is a Wands card? Are the two trees supposed to be the Wands? Are we 'stretching' here?

This is a VERY ODD card - but in truth from the reactions in this thread I was expecting something far more gross, like the Justice card in The Decameron Tarot (attached) that had to changed completely - original on Left, replacement on right. (YOU Have Been Warned).

{Without going meta - the original Decameron Sun card had to be changed due to kiddie porn laws or the deck would not have made it into several countries.}

I'm horrified, honestly, this card is awful, I mean What is the need for it, it's just wrong on so many levels, I appriciate tarot is diverse, but that's scary are worrying the mind that image came from.
