New Tarot Printer Company

HudsonGray

I just got an email from a place I'd inquired about printing up comic books from. They've just started doing tarot decks. It's so new that the info isn't on their website yet -- http://www.onebookshelf.com/ -- it's going to be under their 'drive through cards and tarot' page, but the basics in the email were:

Basic nformation
Our Tarot cards are 2.75” x 4.75” and are printed on our Premium stock. Print cost is $0.17/card ($0.095/card for high-volume orders).

Prepping your Tarot cards
You can find spec requirements and card prep templates here:
https://onebookshelfpublisherservice.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/227867727-Preparing-Your-Cards

Tarot tuckboxes
We also have custom printed tuckboxes that you can order with your Tarot deck. The Tarot tuckbox holds up to 80 cards. More info on tuckboxes (including spec requirements and templates):
https://onebookshelfpublisherservice.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/227867767-Packaging-Tuckboxes-and-Deckboxes

We so appreciate your patience in our finally adding Tarot to our card offerings. And we hope you’re as excited about Tarot as we are!
---------------------------

"High volume" is 100 decks of 50 cards (5,000 cards in other words).
Might be worth a good look-see. Now that Printer Studio is out of the running for most artists here, that generally just left Game
Crafter but if these guys are competitive, it's worth checking out.

Here's a bit more info, I've only glanced at the site at this point, need to do more checking over there.

-------------
Premium Stock: 11.6-pt. thickness, 320 gsm black core card stock from French paper manufacturer Arjo-Wiggins. This silk-finish stock is similar to, but superior to, the stock used on popular trading card games. It's slightly thinner for easier shuffling, but dense to give better rigidity and snap than thicker stocks. It's the best playing card stock we've found.

Rounded Corners / Low-gloss UV Coating / Double-sided: US Poker, European Poker, US Bridge, Mini, Tarot.

Square Corners / Low-gloss UV Coating / Double-sided: Tile 6" x 6", Tile 8" x 10".

Awesome! Thanks! I wish I could find a USA printer that does linen stock like Printer Studio. I'm interested in knowing what silk finish is..? Is that the finish on The Wild Unknown?

I think we're talking GameCrafter here?:)

@HudsonGray if they are located in US I still prefer gamecrafter?:)

Which is all very well, except for the postage charges - and the fact that they have no international hubs, so their stuff ALWAYS attracts customs fees.

This.
Too expensive for international customers in the long run.

---

I have ordered card decks from them (standard poker size). The quality is good but not excellent. It depends on the color scheme of the card. For example, I have a set of cards with lots of similar looking brown background and you can see the "pixels" there.

But there customer support is excellent. Every time I had a problem, I got a refund or a replacement without problems.

Perhaps they've changed it. In the past books were also printed in the UK but cards were always shipped from the US with high postal charges and import fees.
I don't find 20 dollars shipping for a card deck (more than 60 cards) cheap. Plus, in Germany you have to pay import VAT (Einfuhrumsatzsteuer) and import taxes (Zollgebühren) for the whole price: the cards + shipping.
Gamecrafter is expensive as well.
