Eight of Swords

“I free myself of my own dilemmas by letting to of the concepts that have bound me” Greer

When I look into the Eight of Swords, I see a woman bound, she cannot move, and blindfolded, she cannot see. She stands in the mud, powerless, or is she? A castle in the background, a symbol of authority, behind her. She feels unworthy and shame. Sadly she has allowed herself to be in her current situation. She is kept down by her own self doubts, her own ignorance. Once she realizes the power she dose have, the ropes that bind her will fall away, she will take off her blindfold and recognize her ignorance, the first step to real knowledge.

Direct: limitations imposed by yourself, tied down, emotionally blinded, confused state of mind, see limitations instead of possibility.

Reversed: Removing obstacles, not gullible or susceptible to influence, cutting emotional cords.
