What does 'reversed tower' mean in relationship reading?

dancingufo

Could mean one of two things,

- Disaster narrowly avoided, as if the relationship was teetering on the edge and this is just enough to save it from falling over. But only just enough. Foundations are still not secure and further work is needed to bring it back to a secure place.

- Cracks in the foundations, that will in time cause the relationship to falter. The outcome won't be immediate but the seed of destruction is sown and there will be no saving it in the future.

It really depends on the surrounding cards to know which applies in this case.

Yes, it depends on the surrounding cards. But your interpretaion was good enough. Just I'm wondering if it was upright tower it could mean break up? But rather it would be better than reversed tower? I think I haven't got a tower as a break up sign in my relationship reading. So I'm just wondering. Thanks. :)

Anytime I've gotten this card in a relationship reading, it's been a breakup that almost happened but didn't. It's a bomb that nearly got detonated but, instead, remains ticking.

Thanks for good help! I'm not sure which one is better. To make break up or to stand together on the edge of a precipice. :)

if it isn't a crisis averted or a near miss, it is like Pique Dame said about the bomb ticking. In some ways the Tower upright is better. A explosion happens but it was meant to be that way and you can pick up the pieces and move on. I think the Tower often corrects you in life to a happier place with better foundations and more going for it. The reversal means that it just goes on and on, the person might wish The Tower had happened because they are possibly then stuck in unhappiness. It's avoiding the inevitable.

Hi, danieljuk.
Yes, I also think upright tower might be better than reversed one. But some people just want to be together with unhappiness, and I respect their choice. I think the upright tower will be there when they are ready to see those all truth. Thanks for your reply. Your opinion helped me understand about tower more clearly. :)

For what it's worth I've never gotten the Tower to mean a relationship breakup. End of careers\jobs? Yes. But he pictorial content there is important, as most of my jobs have been located in corporate office towers. You can see the image. Romantic relationships? Not so much. I would more often see the 10 swords in that instance.

I think this comes down to how I relate to the cards personally. 10 swords = The End, I've never gone back to a lover, so when I break up it's over. Never seeing you again, no contact, ever kind of thing.

The Tower for me has less finality. It's only the end of things which aren't working. Not armageddon....lol! I liken the Tower to having the rug pulled out from under you. So a relationship can certainly survive a Tower experience. In relationships it's more likely to mean an emotional shock of some kind that changes that person's perspective with regards to the other person. Whether or not they break up as a result is not [necessarily] shown in The Tower.

Yes, just like you I've often got 10/swords when I had break up with my boyfriend. I don't think there was betray or somthing else. Just I was super sad and didn't do anything. But we did reunit twice, it is just a different part with your experience.

I'm just trying to remember when I have got a tower. Yes, I've got it before but it indicated his sexual desire, so not really fit here. That's why I don't have any special feeling about tower. You know what I mean. Many people are afraid to see this card, whereas another group of people like this card. I've just enjoyed think of this serious card, and I want to find something important meaning. :)

I haven't read all the meanings because I'm exhausted and on my way to bed, but it could mean the old "no lead in his pencil" thing. Some people say they've seen the Tower as an erect "organ" having an orgasmic release, so the reversed Tower could mean he's in need of some Viagra.

Haha. I agree with yours. But it was an outcome card in relationship reading. Not really fit this case? :)
