Wahrsage Karten, "True Sage Cards"


How to Play

Shuffle all 36 cards, cut the cards, and lay out left to right in four rows of eight and four [centered] at the bottom by themselves. The person whose fate is to be interpreted is represented by the card 28 (male) or 29 (female). These cards are of utmost importance, because their position in the game affects the vital question.

Explanation of the Cards

1. Cavalier: Good news coming which, depending on its proximity to the person[al card], is delivered from nearby or afar. A little luck, when not surrounded by negative cards.

2. Shamrock: Brings luck. If surrounded by Clouds, a portent of great sorrow. If close to the person, temporary problem with pleasant outcome.

3. Ship: Wealth through hard work or inheritance. Travel, if near the person.

4. House: Success and blessings in all things. Improvement in existing misfortune. When in the middle of the spread, and underneath the person, use caution dealing with immediate surroundings.

5. Tree: Far from the person, health. Near the person, fulfillment of desires and future happiness.

6. Clouds: If the personal card faces the bright side of Clouds, luck. If the personal card faces the dark side, misfortune.

7. Snake: Misfortune, depending on distance from the personal card. Always: betrayal, loss, hypocrisy.

8. Coffin: Near the person, serious illness, death, loss of assets. Faraway, less dangerous.

9. Bouquet: Happiness in every way.

10. Scythe: Warning of great danger that is mitigated if good cards surround it.

11. Whip: Family discord , domestic turmoil, marital problems, fever, illness.

12. Birds: Hardships, but they are short in duration and easily endured. Removed from the person, prospective, happy journey.

13. Child: One is surrounded by good people.

14. Fox: Nearby, beware of immediate vicinity. Afar, no danger.

15. Bear: Happiness; however, be careful not to share this information with jealous parties.

16. Star: Luck in all endeavors. If near Clouds, a series of unfortunate events.

17. Stork: Change of residence either presently or in the distant future, depending on whether it is near by or far from the person.

18. Dog: Nearby, loyalty/friendship. Far away, betrayal. Near Clouds, beware of false friends.

19. High Tower: Contentment in a ripe old age. Near Clouds, illness and death.

20. Garden: Large gathering is imminent. Very close: lasting friendship . Far removed: Beware of false friends.

21. Mountain: Nearby, beware a mighty enemy. Far removed, a good friend.

22. Paths: Near Clouds, mischief. Far from Clouds and from the person, the ability and foresight to avoid an accident.

23. Mouse: Looming theft. Near the person, one gets the stolen items back. Far removed, irrecoverable loss.

24. Heart: Joy, happiness, harmony.

25. Ring: To the right of the person, lustrous wedding with hefty dowry. To the left, engagement broken or divorce.

26. Book: Mystery involved, depending on the position of the card.

27. Letter: Fortune via good news from afar. However, when Clouds near the person: Suffering.

28. Man: Relates to the happiness or unhappiness of the questioning person; similarly, all interpretations.

29. Dame: As before.

30. Lily: Fulfillment in life. Next to Clouds, family grief. If nearby person, virtue including discretion using one's scruples.

31. Sun: Nearby: Satisfaction. Remote: Failing plans, tribulations.

32. Moon: Near person, personal honor. Far away, tribulations.

33. Key: Nearby, success. Remote, failure.

34. Fish: Making money doing what you love. Remote, failure of plans.

35. Anchor: Nearby, Good things come from the sea; advantageous transactions; and faithful love. Removed, frivolity and fickleness.

36. Cross: Bearer of bad news. However, close to the person, one adeptly overcomes adversity.

Erklärung der 36 Karten

5. Baum: Fern von Person: Gesundheit. In der Nähe: Erfüllung der Wünsche und küntiges Glück.

6. Wolken: Helle Seite der Personenkarte zugewandt: Glück. Dunkle Seite: Unglück.

7. Schlange: Unglück, je nach Entfernung von Personenkarte. Immer: Verrat, Verlust, Heuchelei.

8. Sarg: Nahe der Person: schwere Krankheit, Tod, Vermögensverlust. Weit entfernt: weniger gefährlich.

9. Blumenstrauß: Glück in jeder Beziehung.

10. Sense: Vorbote große Gefahr, die jedoch gemildert wird, wenn gute Karten sie umgeben.

11. Rute: Familienzwist, häusliche Sorge, Ehekrise, Fieber, Krankheit.

12. Vögel: Mühseligkeiten, die aber von kurzer Dauer sind und überwunden werden. Entfernt von Person: glückliche Reise in Aussicht.

13. Kind: Man ist von guten Menschen umgeben.

14. Fuchs: in der Nähe: Vorsicht vor unmittelbarer Umgebung. Fern: keine Gefahr vorhanden.

15. Bär: Glück; jedoch Vorsicht im Umgang und Gespräch mit Neidern.

16. Stern: Glück in allen Unternehmungen. Falls Wolken in der Nähe: Kette unglücklicher Zufälle.

17. Storch: Veränderung des derzeitigen Wohnortes, je nach Entfernung von der Person bald oder in der Zukunft.

18. Hund: In der Nähe: Treue, Freundschaft. Weit entfernt: Verrat. Nahe von Wolken: Vorsicht vor falschen Freunden.

19. Hoher Turm: Hohes und glückliches Alter. Von Wolken umgeben: Krankheit und Tod.

20. Garten: Große Gesellschaft steht bevor. Ganz nahe: dauernde Freundschaft. Entfernt: Vorsicht vor falschen Freunden.

32. Mond: Neben Person: große Ehren. Entfernt: Trübsal.

33. Schlüssel: In der Nähe: Erfolg. Fern: Misserfolg.

They have already helped mine. I am enjoying the interpretation concerning Clouds and its proximity to the several other cards. It has made my readings make a whole lot more sense so far.

In the first sentence, "hebt ab" means "cut the cards." You'd do that before laying them out.

For card 21, it's more "beware" than "respect" in this context.
