good spreads?

marmalade

Can anyone recommend some good and fairly easy spreads for one returning to tarot? or some websites that list some even? I've recently gotten back into tarot, but left all my books (and other deck of cards! :() on the other side of the ocean, and it'll be a while until i can get my hands on them again.

i used to use a variation of the celtic cross (explained in the LWB that came with Myers/Art Nouveau deck), but unfortunately i can't remember all of the positions! i've got the 'yellow brick road' spread with my deck, which i like, but i'm looking for something a bit more specific, or at least better suited for specific questions. the only other spreads i remember are a 3 card (past-present-future) and a 1 card spread!!

just a nudge in the general direction would be grand...

Marmalade;

You might also want to check out the Tarot Layouts FAQ. This contains over 50 layouts, though many of them contain way too many cards for my taste. You can find the ascii text version of v4.0 at:
http://www.talisman.net/tarot/tarotlay4.txt

The ascii text version is a good one for copying into your word processing software for printing.

or, you can find a HTML version at:
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/2377/LayoutFAQ4.html

The second one, being on geocities, has the annoying little ads that pop up on every page, but otherwise is a good version as it allows you to browse the T.O.C. and click on anything that looks or sounds good.
