am PMing deck interview spread
Yeah, I'm finding that I really associate swords/air and wands/fire so decks that deviate from that I have a tough time with and they are sadly not being used. The deck I kind of regret buying -- but one you might like, due to the "swords = fire" thing -- is the Fantastical Creatures Tarot. Part of what doesn't work for me is exactly the fact that swords are supposed to represent fire in it, and wands are air. I just can't seem to get to a place where that works for me! I try to be an open-minded person, you know, but...no, in my world, swords are air, and wands are fire, and that's how it is!! Also, I guess I'd been hoping for less fairies and less animals in fancy dress, and more straight up mythical monsters.
Tarot of the Mermaids. I mean, the artist is very talented (the boobs may be a little much) but I wish there was more going on with the artwork - more symbolism and interesting imagery that I could work with. I guess what I am trying to say is that for me, personally, the mermaids were pretty to look at but not a lot of substance or new info I could get out fo the cards.
Oh I don't mind this one but I just gnash my teeth at those switched cards. It's so obvious there are four (I think) cards wrongly labelled. The Universe is so obviously The Devil and the Fool is just not The Fool. The rest of the deck isn't actually that bad, but these gaffs make it unreadable....Dali. I don't think this one is on anybody's list of favorites.
