Fossils full of tiny crystals!! ??

Mi-Shell

Among other things last weekend we went "fossil hunting" on Manitoulin Island in Georgian Bay, Ontario, Canada.
We saw and found quite a few intresting things!
Now I have to admit, that I know nothing about fossiles-(other than that I am one myself:) ..)
Some, I think are corrals.
I am especially fond of the one filled with lots of tiny sparkling grey crystals!!
So here are some pictures!
...any ideas what we have??
... and thank you for helping!!!

Kyrielle

It looks to me like you have fossilized coral and fossilized crinoids.

Crinoids are underwater creatures similar to sea anemones. They are sometimes called sea lilies. It is a very common (but still very cool-looking) fossil. What you have are the fossilized stems of the crinoid.

Thank you, Kyrielle, for your information.
We were rather sure on the coral and we will now look up more info about the crinoids!:)
