Mystical Cats Tarot - Four of Fire (Wands)

Onaorkal

We can see 4 cats, all positioned differently, who seem to be interested in a spherical glass prism floating above their heads. One cat is lying on the ground on their side, another one is in a loaf position and is looking away from the prism, one is sitting and looking intently at the prism and the last one is sitting with one paw up and their head raised towards the prism. There is a ray of light directly hitting the prism from above, causing spots of mini-rainbows to reflect everywhere in the room, including on the cats. The background of the card seems to show some part of a beige wall and the ground looks like marble.

Colors : Very neutral colors.

According to the book, this card is about the rituals and connections related to our spiritual life. In the Fire Clan's case, light is seen as the source of all mystical power. For you it might be something else. What do you like to meditate about? How do you like to live your spirituality? This card is advising you to ''[m]ake time for wonder, beauty, magic, and connection to the sacred.'' And if you don't have anything yet, it might be time for you to search for your 'personal light'!

Symbolism :

Number 4 (cats) : Usually related to more practical matters and people, this number symbolizes stability, determination and discipline. It could still apply to this card in the sense that it tells about the importance of rituals and spirituality in a balanced life. Some people see spirituality as something frivolous, but for other people it's an immuable part of their life which helps to keep them centered.

Different body positions : We could see an evolution in the way the 4 cats are positioned, from having one's head on the ground to almost being able to touch the prism. This could represent people's varying interest for spirituality or the steps before attaining enlightement (or any variation of it).

Prism : With its ability to emit back the light it receives into all the colors of the rainbow, prisms represent the passing of the Spirit element into matter. It is a common symbol for one's connection with their spirituality. It might also be a reminder that through spirituality (prism), ordinary things (sunlight) might suddenly appear magical and beautiful (rainbow colors).

Colors of the rainbow : Related to the seven heavens, chakras and even angels! The rainbow and its colors are mentioned in many different religious texts and mythologies and hold symbolism related to spiritual initiation and enlightement.

Sphere : While not a perfect sphere, I decided to include its symbolism anyway. Spheres symbolize the Sun, Earth, unity, equality and acceptance. Circles symbolize wholeness and infinity.

Glass : Carries the energies of transformation, rebirth, focus and communication.

Sunlight/ray : Commonly symbolizes life, hope and happiness, but in this case it could refer to the concept of spiritual/holy light.
