greatdane

I study all different religions and have books on many. Found these lessons on Kabbalah, Cabala, by any other spelling....and have been enjoying reading through them. They're very brief, but insightful for someone new to it. I have studied it before, but like to see as many sources as possible.

Hi mdr!

I'm confused as to what a kosher Kabbalah class is. I will definitely check out the link you sent, but did you find something wrong with the aish site? I was merely looking for some basic info re Kabbalah and this seemed very basic. Do you find the information incorrect?

did you find something wrong with the aish site?
Absolutely no, but its an organization that's aimed at secular Jewish people to inspire them to higher level of religious observance;
if you are looking for Kabbalah tuition , try that link, or Kabbalah Center and/or Bnei Baruch.
The intro to Kabbalah starts with 45 minutes of what Kabbalah is not - so i'd find it very limiting to explain the difference here;
literally, Kosher Kabbalah means pure, clean, not diverted teaching, meant for the betterment of the world and also for personal spiritual fulfillment.
There is plenty of material on that site, i am sure you'll find quite soon on your own what's the difference.

Thank you, MDR, for your input!

Thanks to MDR, I am now combing this site! http://www.kabbalah.info/engkab/what_is_kabbalah/what_is_kabbalah.htm

I am familiar with the Kabbalah Center. Bnei Baruch I was not familiar with and will definitely check that out. I just tend to check out different resources and AISH came up under Kabbalah 101, so I looked into it. I appreciate your comments very much and will check out Bnei Baruch next!

Blessings and Peace,
GD

I think its great that you have such interest - we believe that its not the people who choose to study Kabbalah, but that its the Light that chooses the people, so there you go chosen greatdane! :D :thumbsup: :heart:
