In need of a spread

I've been looking all over for a spread to find out the meaning of why someone keeps returning into you life.

My best friend has been coming to all of us for advise and where we have always turned to tarot to decipher complicated situations in our life I felt this would be a great way for her to get some insight to her question.

A man that she knows keeps returning to her life. They have been friends for years but separated by work locations. They can go months without talking but he will always pop back up. They haven't seen each other in years but the contact remains no matter the time or distance.

Any spread suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would do something simple like:

1. What keeps him coming back into her life?
2. What should she do about it?

If you can figure out a little more about why *she* wants to know, you might be able to come up with more questions to formulate into a spread.
