embroidered tarot?

i have been wanting to make a deck for a while and, well, all the sketches i have done lend themselves to a nontraditional medium (or, i guess, a displaced ultratraditional medium!)

does anyone know of any embroidered tarot art? in any context, really - i would just like to know whether i am the only one thinking of this!

Tarot-wise, I know of this: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/zerner-farber/

There is also a cross stitch Lenormand, fyi. The creator has taken down her website, I believe, but some info about it can be found here: http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?t=203068

(If you feel moved to use embroidery to express yourself, by all means you should do so. This particular medium for tarot is most certainly not even remotely exhausted. I, for one, enjoy the look of "textured" artwork of this kind.)

Cheers!

I haven't seen any but if you choose a tarot in this medium I'd love to see it. I sometimes do hand embroidery. I'm a textile artist. Good luck.

If memory serves me right there is a majors set you can buy and cross stitch?

I and the maker have the only two copies of the Cross Stitch Lenormand, it is a cool little deck.

edited to add: I don't have the link anymore but someone here surely has, there is a black and white RWS deck you can download, line art I think. You could trace the line art onto your fabric and use a lot more embroidery stitches than the limitations of cross stitch.

Actually, there's a third copy of the lovely little Cross Stitch Lenormand out in the wild. I have it, too. :-) I don't understand how it never caught on with anyone.

Oh i remember that one now...i really liked it a lot! i am so sorry it didn't go farther
than just those 3 decks. Perhaps it was just timing? And it seems there were some
other challenges the creator was having at the time, perhaps? My memory is a bit foggy...

i would love to see her give it another try...

Is La Force still around AT? She hasn't posted since 2014...
