It's great to read what everyone else is doing. After using only a journal for a few months, I just switched to using a few different methods a week ago and it's working out really well so far.
I always use a notebook and pen to jot down my initial thoughts (I'm very new to this so I'm mostly doing 1 to 3 card draws for myself), I find that the best way to get started - it's messy and illogical because I'm in the moment and not worrying about the way it reads.
Then, to make sense of what I've written, I either post the card/spread with a quick commentary on Instagram, or if it's more in depth it goes on my blog (which I started for this reason). If it's something personal, or that I am still figuring out, I type it into a private journal (document) to come back to later.
So far so good. I hadn't considered using Evernote for my private journal, as I do keep the document on iCloud to access anywhere, but I will look into it after reading this thread
