It was great to see everyone, and Aoife I'm sorry we didn't get more of a chance to chat - the background noise level made it so hard to hear anyone not directly next to/opposite me! Next time we need a quieter venue and a round table (Though full credit to the Vaults and Garden for the delicious food...)PW, thank you thank you thank you for the Deviant Moon, so generous of you I love it!gregory, wow! You said 'a little bit of whisky' and so I was imagining something the size of a shot bottle hidden in all that bubble wrap. I thought you must have been REALLY worried about it breaking LOL. Imagine my astonishment when it turned out to be a little bit of bubble wrap and a LOT of whisky! Thank you! anna, remember to PM me your address

I've made it home. Lovely to see you all and very sorry to those at the other end of the table who I didn't get to talk to much.

Well, I had a lovely day out with my daughter in lovely company! Sorry I didn't get much of a chance to chat with you all! I was struggling to hear any of the conversation over the noise of the cafe, and also, A. wanted most of my attention, which I was expecting because she doesn't get many chances to have time alone with me without her brother there (he always tends to dominate my time, despite my best intentions to make things equal). So she had a wonderful day, and spent the whole journey home reading Winnie the Witch (thanks gregory!!!!! And thank you for carting the Mary El all that way!!!) Est, PM on the way! Hope to make it again another time. I really enjoyed meeting you all! __________________ "Out beyond ideas of wrong doing and right doing, there is a field. ![]() And your daughter is lovely too ! I think another time we should do when we always used to do at work - change seats every half hour or so ! __________________ ~ ~ I probably shouldn't be here. I saw the title, and just had to read this thread. It sounds like a wonderful time! I live in, and am from, the U.S. But way back in the mists of time (1988), I was an exchange student at St. Peter's on New Inn Hall Street and went to the Nosebag frequently. What a shame they were so unhelpful. It is cliche - but it does seem like a small world. Now I am going to look up the place where you had your meeting!

Given that two of us had gone there that morning, before we met in the Vaults, and got the same kind of surliness, we think we won't bother ! We are looking at other options... we have scouts out ! __________________ ~ ~ I probably shouldn't be here. But this was the only universe which had a vacancy. ~ ~ (Granny from Hell) I is very deaf. *waving hello to Jen* gregory - I haven't tried it yet! Been flat out with work and then working late each evening (boooo) so it'll be the weekend before I get a moment. Counting down the minutes! Anna, for the same reason, posting is happening tomorrow - sorry for the delay! |
