Herbal Tarot - Queen of Pentacles - Marshmallow

Description: A queen is sitting on a large rock, resting one arm upon a large disc with a five-petaled flower upon it. On her other side grows a large marshmallow plant and a large body of water can be seen.

Significant Details: The rock symbolizes stability. The disc symbolizes security and wealth. The marshmallow symbolizes healing.

Keywords: Nurturing, Bighearted, Down-to-Earth, Resourceful, Trustworthy

Medicinal Uses: Marshmallow is used to soothe and heal soreness and inflammation. It is also used for coughs, bronchitis, sore throats, stomach ulcers, urinary tract inflammations, and leg ulcers. American Nature Guides Herbs by Anna Kruger.

My Interpretation: You may have financial gain during this time. This would be a good time to start a new project where you feel stability. You may meet (or already know) someone who is warm, nurturing, resourceful and trustworthy. This may indicate that you need to work on these qualities.

Thoughts/Points to Ponder: The Queen of Pentacles is the Watery part of Earth. The Queens are in Binah, the third sephira on the Tree of life, and are ruled by Saturn. Marshmallow is ruled by Venus.

This queen looks very stable, she knows what she wants and she is determined to see that she gets it.

Thanks so much for all your hard work on this study group!

Interesting that marshmallow adds moisture to soothe inflammation. Definitely the watery part of earth. This is a good way to remember the card's attributes and the herb's healing properties.
