Cosmic tarot, IV Emperor

Before the Emporer, who is dsressed in yellow, red, and green, is a scepter and a blue bauble. The Emporer is also wearing a gold necklace, which looks mayan, sits on athrone adorned with elemental symbols (which looks alchameic) surrounded by stars and each post is adorned with a ramshead (very german). The archetecture behind is a combination fo Englich Arthurian (the emporer does look like King Aurther) and mediterranian arabian. Truly a combination of cultures that shows the need for sensible actions for those in positions of authority.

paradoxx this is so beautifully written! As I gaze at this card I can almost see the different civilizations, each creatively unique, that have come and gone, leaving us clues and mysteries of when they existed. Gold, jewels and diamonds gleam and sparkle of their memories....our world is filled with their treasures, some still untouched and unknown.

Yes the Mayas, the Arthurians, and I see the Egyptians, perhaps the Incas, the Greeks, the Tibetans and the Sumerians, the Aboriginals, etc., they all seeded the earth with their ideals and search for self-fulfillment. They all were ruled by an Emperor a King, that in most cases, loved his kingdom, his people, collectively.

With the many civilizations that have donned this earth, each change, we evolved genetically....so too the Emperor?

This is the first card where we see a wall, a building. The round building behind the Emperor looks a bit like structures in the Justice and Heirophant cards which is interesting as these are ordering forces of society: government, law, religion. This deck has many visual links between cards like this.

The ram's heads behind the Emperor show his Aries nature: Aggressive, quick to act. He rules by imposing order on his world.

The scepter and orb in front of him are symbols of rulership and power. The orb in this case is transparent and looks like it could be made of glass. This shows that the world is fragile and part of being a good ruler is protecting it and the people you rule over. His face looks concerned and very aware of the responsibility that goes with power.

This card is obviously inspired by the golden reliquary bust of Charlemagne.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bust_of_Charlemagne

Norbert Lösche grew up and lived in Aachen, Germany, where this bust is kept in the treasure room of the Cathedral. Aachen was the capital of Charlemagne's empire and his face appears on cookie boxes everywhere in the area.

Charlemagne is the embodiment of the emperor who challenges the pope and yet finds some kind of working modus vivendi with the Church.
