Step SEVEN, Shadowscapes tarot

This step took me too long since I had to wait for my copy of the book to arrive but it's finally here:

Part 1: Synthesize keywords into an integrative statement for each of these cards, using number or rank, suit, element and mode (Appendices B and C)
Page of Pentacles.

Page of Pentacles.

Mode: Court Card. Attitude or personalities.
Suit/Element: Pentacles/Earth. Value, instincts, fruits of labor, health.
Rank: Page. Messenger, student, immature.

All together:
-News about a project or business.
-Not knowing what’s best for an inversion.
-Unfinished business.
-a childish attitude towards a health problem.
-The need to learn to follow your instincts.

Eight of Swords.

Mode: Number. Situations or specific actions.
Suit/Element: Swords/Air. Struggle, decisions, problem-solving.
Rank: Eight. Distribution, control, restrain.

All together:
-Not being in control of a situation.
-Unable to take the most wanted path or decision due to environment pressure.
-Stepping back from a problem to understand better the possible solutions.

Wheel of Fortune.
Mode: Major. Life journey and existential lessons.
Suit/Element: Fire. Energy, taking action, risk.
Rank: 10.Consumation, result, extremes.

All together:
-Suddenly change on a situation.
-Taking a big risk that can be either good or bad. (Indeterminate answer)
-Going ahead with a plan before is too late.

Ace of Cups.
Mode: Ace. Beginning.
Suit/Element: Cups/Water. Communication, moods, inner processes.
Rank: 1.Pure energy, inspiration, opportunity.

All together:
-A new relationship (not necessary a romantic one).
-A good time for trying something new with your mate.
-Try to ask for advice from a close person.
-Go outside and make new friends!
-An artistic opportunity.

Part 2: Now do the same for your chosen card. Try as many different combinations as possible. Which of these statements feels most true? How does it relate to your life right now?

My card is the Queen of wands from Shadowscapes tarot.

Mode: Court card. Attitude or personalities.
Suit/Element: Wands/Fire. Energy, taking action, risk.
Rank: Queen. Mothering, supporting, caring.

All together:
-Taking action with caution, thinking beforehand.
-Support someone who has taken a risk, even if you don’t agree.
-Taking care of other without assert oneself.
-lead the way without realizing.
-Thinking carefully about a plan and make it happen.
-Feeling capable of accomplish an action.
-Focus the energy towards an artistic goal.

The statement that I feel is “most true” related to this deck in particular should be be “taking action thinking beforehand” based on the previous steps while the “most related” right now is “thinking carefully about a plan and make it happen” since I’m about to finish my studies and start working.

Step SEVEN - Silicon Dawn

Elements for earth and fire are switched in this deck, so Page of Pents is fire for me.

Page of Pentacles
Rank: Page - children, immature, birth, beginnings, try out & develop, experimentation
Suit/Element: Pentacles/Fire - innovation, ambition, projects, taking action, spiritual growth
Mode: Court - A person, attitude, energy personified

- The birth of new projects
- A child who inspires spiritual growth
- A person inexperienced in taking action
- Developing innovative projects
- A person who is ambitious but inexperienced and prone to rookie mistakes

8 of Swords
Rank: 8 - Regeneration, dispose, complexity, restraint, results of victory & changes, reality
Suit/Element: Swords/Air - struggle, analysis, reasoning, strategy, tests of the mind
Mode: Number - situation, action

- critical analysis of a complex situation
- struggling to restrain yourself
- a difficult test of the mind
- disposing of irrational thoughts
- conquering a situation but still having to deal with the aftermath
- careful reasoning in order to avoid making mistakes

Wheel of Fortune
Rank: Ten - multiplication, preparation for a new cycle, denouement, extremes, necessity
Element: Fire - risk, movement, daring, enterprise
Mode: Major - psychospiritual needs, the cause, lessons, archetypes

- moving into a new phase of life
- learning to roll with the punches
- daring to take a wild chance
- a lesson in maximizing your opportunities
- exploring all that life has to offer

Ace of Cups
Rank: Ace - birth, source, simplicity, gift, highest achievement
Suit/Element: Cups/Water - heart, feelings, dreams, an emotional reaction, reflection, empathy
Mode: Ace - new opportunities, realm of greatest potential, new energies

- a pure and strong emotional reaction
- opening your heart
- being deeply moved by an ideal
- meeting to someone you feel very close to
- falling in love
- giving selflessly and unconditionally
- purity of intent and emotion

Part II

My card is the Fool.
Rank: Zero - limitless potential, possibilities, infinity, flexibility, being undefined
Element: Air - clever, inquisitive, alert, impersonal
Mode: Major - life lessons, spiritual need

- A need to explore your potential
- Adopting a childlike/inquisitive approach to life
- Suspending prior judgments and learning from your own experience
- Exploring and discovering new aspects of self
- Learning to live life on your own terms
- A need to be free from rigid ideas or identity/roles that you've outgrown
- Being on the verge of a breakthrough

Most true would be adopting an inquisitive approach to life. For me personally, it would being suspending prior judgements, and learning to live life on my own terms. As far as my life right now, I'm trying to be more open minded and reevaluating some assumptions I have about how the world works. Also, I'm learning new things and feeling a drive to explore my potential.

Finally I feel ready (enough) for this step.
I felt I had to go through the meanings of the four elements on my own, and I have found 28 "quadruplets" (if that's even a word..) to describe the elements also in relation to each other.
They are posted in the Golden Dawn thread if anyone is interested, I would love to hear comments about them..
By the way, lets get down to work..

Princess of Disks
MODE: COURT: Attitudes
SUIT/ELEMENT: EARTH --> Manifestation, Stabilizing, Foundations
RANK: PRINCESS --> Catalyst, Receptive, Developer

All together

A person able to develop from foundations
A receptive person, who stabilizes and gives shape to what is given to her
A person able to act as a catalyst, stabilizing unruled forces, and developing them into manifestation

EIGHT OF SWORDS
MODE: MINOR ARCANA: Everyday events, what is happening
SUIT/ELEMENT: Air --> Tought, Strategy, Struggle
NUMBER/RANK: Eight --> Complexity, Restraint, Systematize

All together:
Struggle to overcome restraint
Systemetize toughts: make order in one's mind
Complex strategy

X Wheel of Fortune
MODE: MAJOR --> Life lesson
SUIT/ELEMENT --> FIRE Trasformation, Distruction,Movement
NUMBER/RANK --> 10, 1 Wholeness, Endings and New Beginnings, Fullfillment

The lesson about how destruction brings transformation/renovation
How fullfillment only comes through movement (change)
The paradox of needing to destroy to find wholeness

Ace of Cups
MODE: ACE--> The sphere concerned
SUIT/ELEMENT: WATER --> Intuition, Inconscious, Irraational
NUMBER/RANK: ACE --> Root, Inspiration, Pure Energy

All together:
Pure energy, coming from our inconscious
Irrational roots of our actions
Inspirations coming from the irrational part of our psyche

PART II

MODE: MAJOR --> A life lesson, an universal law/energy
SUIT/ELEMENT: EARTH --> Manifestation, creativity, fertility,
RANK/NUMBER: THREE --> result, development, fulfillment

All together:
Manifestation of results of an universal law.
Fullfillment of own's fertility as life lesson
Development of creativity as expression of universal energy
Also
Our fertility (not only phisical) develops universal energies and brings them forward, to the next level.
Manifestation is the result of the universal laws
A life lesson comes with a sense of fulfillment and activates our creativity

To me, in this period the most fitting is the last one: I am at the end of a cycle/beginning oc the next and I am looking at what I have learnt, what I want to bring with me, and what doesn't serve me well anymore, and therefore need shed.
My creativity (I am back at drawing and embroidery) because I feel the need to create, to bring tk manifestation a token, a symbol of what i have learnt so hard... never to forget what it took to get it.
They are very personal, on one hand, but in the other the archetypes of the Tarot lend themselves so well to the purpose...
Fascinating.

PART 3
Aww... No easy this one.. not at all...
My story was about the dreamy atmosphere, and the istinct of both beings to make the eggs hitch..
Not so easy to connect with mode, rank and element meanings but...
The number 3 is very much about the merging of two into one third thing.. so, since the eggs are the energies of the Creation, we can see the instinct to be together, despite the risks that each one sees in the other, can be related to fhe instinct of 1 to go about and act and the instinct of 2 to accept, incorporate and give form.
The element of Earth is also connected to manifestation, and how that already includes the very first seed for the next phase.. i connect this with the rotating eye effect that the card gave me (and my dog).
And all this is no doubt a very deep and clear life lesson.
I very much wish this is enough because this step brought me very deep and now I have to get to the bottom of some studies it prompted.. but i'll keep going through the next steps.

step 7

Part 1: Synthesize keywords into an integrative statement for each of these cards, using number or rank, suit, element and mode

Page of Pentacles.

Mode: Court Card. Attitude or personalities.
Suit/Element: Pentacles/Earth. Value, instincts, fruits of labor, health.
Rank: Page. Messenger, student, immature.

All together:
- News about a project
- Not knowing where to start
- The need to learn what's healthy for you

Ceccoli's page is 'grounded in the teachings of nature'

Eight of Swords.

Mode: Number. Situations or specific actions.
Suit/Element: Swords/Air. Struggle, decisions, problem-solving.
Rank: Eight. Distribution, control, restrain.

All together:
- Not in control of a situation.
- Unable to take the most wanted path
- Struggling with control and restrain
- Inability to take action and solve the problem

Ceccoli's 8 of Swords is 'intimidated by mere shadows'.

Wheel of Fortune.
Mode: Major. Life journey and existential lessons.
Suit/Element: Fire. Energy, taking action, risk.
Rank: 10. Consumation, result, extremes.

All together:
- Sudden change of a situation.
- Taking a risk that can be either good or bad.
- Going ahead with a plan before is too late.
- The lesson of cycles in life.

Ceccoli's Wheel of Fortune is about 'the mercy of fate'.

Ace of Cups.
Mode: Ace. Beginning.
Suit/Element: Cups/Water. Compassion, emotion, giving.
Rank: 1. Pure energy, inspiration, opportunity.

All together:
- A new relationship.
- A good time for trying something new.
- Irrational moodswings.
- An emotional process sets free pure energy.
- Giving everything straight from the heart.

Ceccoli's Ace of Cups is about 'love must begin with self-love'.

Part 2: Now do the same for your chosen card. Try as many different combinations as possible. Which of these statements feels most true? How does it relate to your life right now?

My card is the King of Wands from Ceccoli tarot.

Mode: Court card. Attitude or personalities.
Suit/Element: Wands/Air. Energy, taking action, risk, strategy, thoughts.
Rank: King. Mastery, ambition, courage.

All together:
- Taking action with courage.
- Master a task.
- Taking charge of problems.
- Ambition will guide the way to mastery.
- Acting according to a plan and make it happen.
- Thinking thoroughly before getting into action.
- Focus the energy towards an ambitious goal.

All these statements feel true.

... and all of this could probably do with anger management easily frustrated, bad temper, impatience. At work, I find it difficult to delegate tasks because I tend to think that I am far more capable of dealing with specific problems than anybody else. Doing so makes me feel exhausted, tired and singled out.
