Constellation of the Chariot

The Constellation of the Chariot
The Principle of Mastery through Change
Chariot Tower Sevens

Keywords: Starting. Causing. Stimulating. Control. Breakthrough. Self-Development. Insight. Building Up and Letting Go. Conflict and Trials.

The Chariot represents the control over conflicting or contrary forces that enables one to move in whatever direction one wishes. The charioteer causes things to happen by taking control over his circumstances and changing whatever he finds undesirable. As Sun god, Horus stimulates life and growth, while as Moon god he stimulates water to form the tides. The card represents breakthrough in the sense of progress and success made through endeavor. It represents self-development through triumph over ones mind. The Eye of Horus is all-seeing and therefore brings insight. The life of a charioteer, and of Horus specifically, is filled with conflict and trials from winning the right to race to actually winning the race itself.

The Tower is about the destruction of the old, which leads to the start of something new. The effect of the Tower causes one to reevaluate their life/what they were doing when the impact of the Tower occurred. The lightning bolt depicted in the Tower stimulates change that needs to occur. The force of the lightning strike removes any questions about who/what is in control of the situation. The Tower can represent that AHA moment that one experiences during a breakthrough. As a change that needs to occur, the Tower encourages the self-development of the person who experienced the effects of the Tower. It can bring insight through exposing what has been hidden. The Tower is the perfect example of building up and letting go one builds up their tower of false beliefs which they must then let go after its been destroyed by the lightning. What may feel like conflict or a trial is actually a necessary part of ones development.

The 7 Wands represents an apparent failure of mastery and control by losing control of oneself, one is put in a position of imminent peril. As a gift, it gives insight on how to break through obstacles in the form of someone who has more control or power than you do. As a challenge, it shows what can happen when one lets their anger get the best of them. It suggests that in order to prove oneself, one must be able to conquer ones own demons. As an ordeal over which one triumphs using the potentials inherent in the Chariot and Tower, it represents self-development through triumph over ones mind and insight through exposing whats been hidden.

The 7 Cups represents mastery and control of self and how one is perceived through the changes brought about by the use of makeup. Its the gift of developing the skill to show the world the face that one wants seen. It represents the challenge of breaking through obstacles caused by self-deception. It suggests that in order to prove oneself, that one must be able to look oneself in the eye through the help of the mirror. It suggests that one seeks control over ones environment through obfuscation. As an ordeal over which one triumphs using the potential inherent in the Chariot and Tower, it suggests the development of self that allows one to voluntarily remove the mask.

The 7 Swords suggests that mastery and control can only be maintained through avoiding direct confrontation. As a gift for developing self-mastery, it suggests that vigilance and constant awareness are the key to avoiding falling into a trap. As a challenge for breaking through obstacles, it hints that one must find an unconventional solution to the problem. It suggests that in order to prove oneself, one must show that they can take time to make plans instead of acting hastily. The 7S suggests that one seeks dominion over ones environment through the use of forethought. As an ordeal over which one triumphs through using the potential inherent in the Chariot and Tower, it suggests the need to see all aspects of a situation and the need to see conflict and trials as opportunities for growth and development.

The 7 Disks suggests a failure of mastery and control over the forces of Mother Nature. As a gift for developing self-mastery, it suggests dealing with the consequences of someone else not doing their job. As a challenge to breaking through obstacles, it suggests that being overly cautious in ones endeavors may lead to failure. In order to prove oneself, it suggests that one must be able to survive hardships. The 7D shows that one seeks dominion over ones environment through planning, planting and nurturing. As an ordeal over which one triumphs through using the potential inherent in the Chariot and Tower, it shows the need to take control over ones circumstances and change what is found lacking and to use unpleasant experiences as opportunities for self-development.
