Readings using the Marseilles deck

Note: as an experiment to gauge interest, Solandia is allowing Your Readings-style readings to be posted in this forum, Marseilles & other Early Decks.. The decks used can only be Marseilles-style or other early decks and it is expected that interpretations will only be that system. In general the Your Readings posting guidelines must be followed:

Rules here.

If there is sufficient interest, a new sub-forum specifically for this style of reading may be opened. This is in response to the smaller but enthusiastic group of Marseilles readers who tend to get drowned out by the majority on AT of RWS based readers.

Here?

Hello,

maybe a stupid question, but does here mean "here in this thread" or "here in this forum"?

I would love to have a place to discuss Marseille readings, should I start a new thread if I want to share one?

Thank you!

Here in this forum. The thread itself is just an announcement thread, or a place to ask for clarification.

Please go ahead and start a new thread if you would like to share one.

ETA: I edited my post above and hope it is more clear now.

Might I suggest to create immediately at least a subsection devoted to reading styles in the "Marseille and other early decks" (like "finished trades" in the trading section), to avoid diverging too much from the "Tarot History and Iconography" orientation of this section ?

A subsection in this "marseille & other..." would be great as it may help to make a clear distinction between an historical approach of historic "reading styles" (starting from Court de Gébelin, but also Marteau or Wirth for instance) and the others.

My two cents...

Bertrand

Not a stupid question. I had exactly the same doubt but was too shy to post.

Hi Bertrand,

We're trying out readings in the Marseilles forums right now to see if there is enough sustained interest to create a subforum for TdM readings. If this proves to be popular then a sub-forum for readings may be put in place .

thanks! guess it is the privilege of the newly arrived to ask (seemingly) stupid questions on a forum. with no reputation to lose => no reason for being shy! ;-)
