POSTING RULES AND GUIDELINES FOR TAROT SPREADS
This sub forum is for posting and discussing Tarot Spreads.
NO READINGS in this section please!
Please, remember to:
1. Include the name of the spread
or a description in the subject line
2. Respect copyright
when sharing new spreads and layouts. If the spread is from a book or website, please include the title and author or a link to the website.
3. Use "place-holders"
instead of "spaces" when setting out a spread. (* or - instead of an empty space) (see more in detail here
4. Avoid posts with one-liners
("I like this one", or, "I'm going to try this one"). They will probably be removed. Instead, if you find a nice spread and it is not yet in the Index, please send a PM to the moderator to ask if it could be added there.
5. Post the layouts in this forum
(in posts and/or attachments) rather than linking to them in other locations. If the layouts are only linked, there is always a risk that if the other site goes down the threads are rendered useless because the layouts aren't available anymore.
In addition to posting the layout you can also embed images, meaning the spreads are directly visible without further links. Unlike Attachments though, the code demands a URL for the images, meaning they have to exist on the web. You can accomplish this by uploading your image to any photo hosting site.
Uploading directly from your own computer would demand using the Attachments feature, and those images would not be embedded.
The vb code is [ img ] url of the image [ /img ] Remove spaces.
6. Example readings
may be posted in Tarot Spreads along with the original spread, in the same post
. The idea is for it to accompany the spread as an example of how the spread might read, but not for comments by others. Readings for comments using spreads from this forum should be posted in Your Readings
