How Often Do You Check For Missing Cards?

Do so. I've had it happen quite a few times, and if it's a self-published deck, leaving it too late can mean no more cards available. (The Golden Thread was a case in point !) I've also had duplicate cards, and other stuff...

I sort the cards into majors/suits when I first receive a deck - new or used - and look at each card. Then, unless I'm selling a deck, never check/count again.

My answer was not one of the choices.

When a new deck arrives, I usually check it over once to make sure. It's easy to check then as the cards are in order. I have 120 decks and it's only happened to me maybe 3 times that I was missing a card. It's rare but it could happen.

Then after that time, I never check again. Although a few times, I have forgotten to even do that and just up and did my first reading immediately.
