Proverbs 19:7 and v. 20 from The Message

When you’re down on your luck, even your family avoids you—
****yes, even your best friends wish you’d get lost.
If they see you coming, they look the other way—
****out of sight, out of mind.

V. 20 Take good counsel and accept correction—
****that’s the way to live wisely and well.

Proverbs 13:16 and v.10 from The Message

A commonsense person lives good sense; fools litter the country with silliness.

V . 10 Arrogant know-it-alls stir up discord, but wise men and women listen to each other's counsel.

Hmmmmm this makes me think. I'm in a position now where I need good solid feedback so this reading makes me pause at myself. I wonder if I'm really listening? Lol

Proverbs 30:2 and 24 from The Message

*1-2*The skeptic swore, “There is no God!
****No God!—I can do anything I want!
I’m more animal than human;
****so-called human intelligence escapes me.

Vs. 24

28*There are four small creatures,
****wisest of the wise they are—
ants—frail as they are,
****get plenty of food in for the winter;
marmots—vulnerable as they are,
****manage to arrange for rock-solid homes;
locusts—leaderless insects,
****yet they strip the field like an army regiment;
lizards—easy enough to catch,
****but they sneak past vigilant palace guards.

Yes, GS is a narcissist and thinks of himself above everyone else. He is trying to secure a home for himself and his family. I am clearly not in his thoughts. His thoughts are about himself mainly. He is in survival mode.

Thanks for the reading:)
