The Tree of Life and Birds

Satori

The day before I met Simone, back when she was here for the Handfast, I saw a marvelous sight.

I was driving on the highway, and it was a lovely day, and the birds were flocking and migrating.

I was watching a group of birds wheeling and twirling through the sky when for a moment they flew into formation, and it was the Tree. I was so stunned.

A Flying Tree of Life, just for me!

Isn't life grand?

Superb...

and of course, to then realise that their new arrangements is but an alteration of the standard form :)

Just the other evening, as a blazing Orange Sun was setting,
I grabbed my camera and went out to get a picture of how
the colours were being filtered through the leaves of a tree
in my back garden, and as I was walking out, adjusting my
camera settings there overhead was a flock of Geese turning
in their formation ~ right above me! I took several pictures,
as they changed order and direction, all in one grand motion.

The pictures of the orange sunlight in the golden leaves of the
Maple were taken then as well, but I can't wait to see how the
majestic metamorphosis of the birds in flight will appear too.

Post them fulgour. I can't wait too. :)

Will Need Help

We had a rare visitor here today, a Cooper's Hawk made a kill
and stayed to pull apart and eat it's prey. All caught on film...
These birds are very rare hereabouts, but there's been a variety
of hawks feeding in our back garden; a glorious, savage beauty.

Of the Geese in rolling flight, I will be able to scan some of the
prints, but cannot post attachments myself. I'll need help there.

dear elf

Sorry but, the pictures, though beautiful, did not come out
so as to resemble The Tree... however, I did find this:

from: The Over-Soul

"We live in succession, in division, in parts, in particles. Meantime within man is the soul of the whole; the wise silence; the universal beauty, to which every part and particle is equally related; the eternal ONE. And this deep power in which we exist, and whose beatitude is all accessible to us, is not only self-sufficing and perfect in every hour, but the act of seeing and the thing seen, the seer and the spectacle, the subject and the object, are one. We see the world piece by piece, as the sun, the moon, the animal, the tree; but the whole, of which these are the shining parts, is the soul."

by Ralph Waldo Emerson
