Alternative Sabian Symbol: A modern Pocahontas.

Jones Key Word: Compatibility

Ridder-Patrick Body Part: Cartilage of ribs

Crystal : Scapolite a translucent metamorphic mineral with gemstone qualities. Scapolite highlights individual and collective soul purpose and increases will-power. I think scapolite was used in native american rituals too.

I prefer personally the modern pocahontas, of course both mean the same thing. Some ideas - understanding, confidence, courage, pioneering, resourceful, determination, trusting in the divine but also making a mark on society through individual actions.
A very feeling symbol - cancer, but intense relationship feelings - vulnerability yes I think that too - very cancer.

Just like Pocahontas, this girl had a calling and a dream that took her down a different path. She listened to her heart! But she no doubt had hopes and plans to return to her tribe. I bet every pair of ears and eyes were on her and her boyfriend when she brought him. And her boyfriend I'm sure realized very quickly that people of his girlfriends tribe are much different than what he has been used to

Would there be trouble? If we were talking the early and mid 20th century I'd say yes, but not so much now. I'm sure there's a few by the old school but times they are a changing!!!

I found the lyrics to one of the songs in Pocahontas....thought it fit so perfectly here....

Colors of the wind (Pocahontas sound track)

You think you own whatever land you land on
The earth is just a dead thing you can claim
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name

You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You'll learn things you never knew, you never knew

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue-corn moon?
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?

Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest
Come taste the sun-sweet berries of the earth
Come roll in all the riches all around you
And for once never wonder what they're worth

The rainstorm and the river are my brothers
The heron and the otter are my friends
And we are all connected to each other
In a circle, in a hoop that never ends

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue-corn moon?
Or let the eagle tell you where he's been?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?

How high does the sycamore grow?
If you cut it down then you'll never know

And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue-corn moon
For whether we are white or copper-skinned
We need to sing with all the voices of the mountain
We need to paint with all the colors of the wind

You can own the earth and still all you'll own is earth until
You can paint with all the colors of the wind

I thought it would be good to use the Orphalese software to record my daily sabian symbol readings and so set about looking for appropriate images to convey the meaning of each card.

Attached is what I came up with for this symbol.
