'Signed' Conver deck on eBay

lark

Wow kenji how wonderful!
Thank you for sharing with us.
The backs were a big surprise to me they look so modern.
You can see where the cards are colored pink so clearly on the scans too.

Congratulations on your purchase and thanks for your kindness in posting scans of the Kenji-Conver! The scans are sure to be a great resource! It would be wonderful if someday a photoreproduction deck of this specimen could be published, especially given that the LS Conver deck's specimen deck, of approximately the same era of printing, is missing one of the original cards [6 of Batons].

WOW!!! I just read this whole thread, it was so exciting :D:D:D

I was thinking, "Go terri, go jmd..."

Congratulations kenji, and thanks for the link of the cards, amazing...

Sorry to the folk who missed out, would love to see the first deck that was in this thread.

jmd, wish you had purchased the deck, I know you would love it and then I would be able to get to see it too!

Thanks Kenji. This is just fabulous.

Congratulations!

It must be wonderful to have a real, "living" deck - no museum stamp, no small print shouting "copyright", no thick laminate.

Does it seem to have been used much over the years?

I wonder if you could do one more picture, of the deck as a whole, from the side, stacked and ready to deal. I would like to get an idea of how thick the deck is when stacked.

Thank you very much, everyone:)
I'd be so glad if these pictures should make some contribution
to AT Forum.

To lark:
Hi :)
The seemingly "pink" parts are in reality "red".
(It's a matter of lighting.)

To Ross:
Hello again :)
The corners of some cards are slightly damaged, but in total
this pack is in quite good condition.
The pack itself (composed of 78 cards) is about 28mm thick.
I'll take a picture at your request later (maybe tomorrow) . ;)

Hi Ross:)
I've uploaded the picture into "CONVER-trumps" folder.
Left is regular Rider-Waite-Smith pack, and right is
the Conver pack.
(It's just for making a comparison. )

Thanks Kenji, that's great!

I didn't even think to ask for a comparison. This gives me a real "feel" for a real deck. They way you sized it, it seems about actual size on the screen.

Very good condition, I would say.

I don't have a block-printed deck in my possession to compare, but I have the Vanderborre reproduction and the Il Meneghello Besançon, which in the lightness of the card and the thickness of deck seem to be close to what players of two centuries ago (or even a century?) might have experienced.

You've certainly made me want to become a bidding opponent the next time something like this comes up!

Just fabulous!

Thanks again.

Awwww but kenji I like pink... :(

Oh lark, please don't get down...:(
OK, OK, I've decided, it's pink!! (lol)

Jokes aside, don't you think the red & the blue on the cards
look especially beautiful?;)
