I've taken images of the 19th century (public domain!) ancestor of the Swiss 1JJ Tarot which btw contains the original papal trumps and used colorization software on them and also gave them the "piemontese" treatment. I've had to colorize these images as the originals did not match the color schemes of court cards. The courts which I've restored are striking and I will upload those soon. The minors are derived from a 19th century (public domain!)German tarock which is the ancestor of the modern deck with which the French use to play the Tarot card game. Like the old Tarotrump deck, it will feature English language indices KQCJ and the French suits of hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs.

This tarock experiment was inspired by reading some comments on these websites:

The idea is to create a gamer friendly deck with which one may easily play any game from French Tarot to Mary Greer's Tarot Rummy or this "Tarot Auction" game I keep seeing on the internet, but unlike most "tarock" type decks, this deck would retain the traditional imagery one associates with Italian suited Tarots.
This is surely not your father's tarot but for reading purposes, it reads as well I would think as the double headed Bologna and Piedmont decks. It's ok unless one uses reversals. Does anyone think there is a market for such a deck? Is such a deck needed?
