What's the difference between The Rider and The Letter?

Lil Red

The meanings I use for Rider are a delivery person, a messenger, the other man, bicycle (going green when going somewhere), athletic, great legs, and etc.

The meaning I use for letter is a document, email, message, text, and etc.

So the difference is that with the Rider I see it as a person delivering you the message while the letter itself is the message.

This is how I see it.

While I favor such distinctions in theory, in practice, multiple cards for nearly the same thing are very practical in a Grand Tableau where you can see how a theme or issue develops. If following a theme regarding delivery of a letter you might want to check both Rider and Letter (and maybe Ship or Birds) plus the card representing the recipient. Are they linked in any way? Does one stand-in for the other at a later stage of the process?

If you are working on a book manuscript or document then several of these cards can be relevant to your process.

One way to clarify differences is by comparing combos:

Letter+Ring - a written contract or agreement; a chain letter :( .

Rider+Ring - a racetrack; gay marriage; news of a wedding or contract; meeting someone again.
