I think most modern decks are inspired by either the Rider Waite Smith or the Thoth, which are both derived from the Golden Dawn system. This eliminates a lot of the decks present today if you don't want decks that are directly or indirectly inspired by the Golden Dawn. Your best bet might be modern decks that are derived from the Marseilles. Here are some samples:

How modern is your 'modern'? I enjoy the Vacchetta Tarot of the Master, which is from the late 1890s.
